about

"All The Lights Go Out At Once" was the first song written by Taylor Brennan, Ben Ludwig, and Ian Palmer as Polarizer. The song started as a drum beat and was developed by Ian and Taylor, who wrote guitar parts and vocal melodies on the spot.

It was played in their first live performance, closing out the set.

lyrics

Stood alone.
And watched the settling dust.
As the calls
In the wind siphoned off.

Not a one
With a pulse would cross my way.
And I've felt in the dark for so long.

When the lights go off
Their one for their own.
They'll say what they say.
Well see what they say when
Lights all go out at once.

Found a way
To make conversation with
Myself and I've found I'm much better alone.

I feel and hear
Sharper since
Ive been lost.
Can I stay unfound?

When the lights go off
Their one for their own.
They'll say what they say.
Well see what they say when
Lights all go out at once.

Felt around
And found an open door
Though I swear it was locked and much colder before.

Been a while or has it been?
If they're on then I cant pretend.

When the lights go off
Their one for their own.
They'll say what they say.
Well see what they say when
Lights all go out at once.
